Walking round arcades today I feel rather bored. I miss the arcades of the golden era, dropping my 10p's into those upright machines. Playing games with graphics my Spectrum could only dream of. But today, you have to pass rows of fruit machines to find the odd game. And I don't really want to pay a £1 a go for a driving or shooting game that'll probably last me 2 minutes at best. The whole arcade atmosphere has gone. Lost forever.

Or has it..? We want to bring back the arcades of yesteryear. A huge room filled with the best games from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Rows and rows of shoot-em-ups, platformers and finger numbing, button bashing sports games. Give us 2D sprites and vector graphics. Bring back FUN!

We aim to build not just an arcade, but a retro gaming arcade experience. For a single daily entry price you can have unlimited free play on dozens of classic arcade machines, plus pinball, air hockey, pool and a selection of classic retro gaming consoles. We may also include a couple fruit machines and maybe a pusher or two, just to complete that classic arcade feel.

Meet The Team

Stuart - Business Owner / Idea Man

Stuart is owner of Timewarp Arcade and is the reason why it came into existence. He has been gaming from as far as he can remember also he has been lucky enough to see every video game and arcade generation from the 1980's through to the current. Stuart is very fond of anything to do with Atari and feels very happy about having a working Star Wars Cockpit arcade machine in Timewarp Arcade.

Luke - Technician / Tinker Man

Luke is the tech/repair guy for nearly all of Timewarp Arcade and is constantly busy fixing or improving the arcade machines we have. Luke maybe a bit younger than Stuart and the other staff but remembers his first gaming experience on Robocop 2 on his father's Spectrum. He has also seen every video game and arcade generation from the late 1980's through to current. Luke enjoy's fixing things and takes great pride in making someone happy from what he has fixed. Luke has grown up through the years as a Sega fan so loves classic in the arcade like Daytona, Sega Rally, Manx TT, Virtua Cop, House of The Dead, Scud Racer etc.

Norman - Front of House Man

Norman is the first friendly face you most likely meet when you visit Timewarp Arcade. He runs the front counter and keeps the arcade running smoothly for Stuart. Norman is a awesome yet much older gamer and unlike Stuart and Luke, he has seen EVERY video game and arcade generation. Norman is a big Sony fan and spends his spare time gaming on modern and retro titles. Don't let his friendly personality fool you... because if you happen to stumble into a online arena with him.. he is a force to reckon with and he takes no prisoners.
